beauty is pain
I'm wondering if the nausea and anxiety attacks in the middle of the night are worth the glorious feeling of stepping on the scale in the morning and seeing a lower number than the day before. I'm wondering if the extreme headaches and weariness is worth having my jeans become too big for me.
Sadly, yes. This pain is worth it.
But last night was pretty awful. It's the days I go 15 - 24 hours with no eating, then go to bed, that I feel gross in the middle of the night. Waves of nausea and migraines hit out of no where. I usually feel better when I wake up in the morning, though.
What a life......numbers on the scale rule my mind

weekly intake
So this week I've done pretty good. Here are the calories I've ended each day with:
Sun 7/18 - 450 cals
Mon 7/19 - 300 cals
Tue 7/20 - 280 cals
Wed 7/21 - 355 cals
Thur 7/22 - 295 cals
Fri 7/23 - 700 cals
I've also worked out every day and burnt at least 200 calories, but most days 300 calories. I've dropped 3 pounds and 3 inches off my waist and 2 inches off my hips. Friday made me sad, but I was going out for some celebratory drinks... I thought it was going to end up really bad, but 700 is okay... I am motivated. I WANT to keep doing this. I am seeing results so suddenly, and my boyfriend is getting worried, but too bad. This is what I need to do to not feel horrible inside. And the health affects suck.. I feel nauseous at night and weak during the day, but whatever. I must get to goal weight 1, then goal weight 2....etc.

HIIT
So I love HIIT (high intensity interval training) workouts. They are basically a cardio session of mixing it up with brief really fast speed and then a quick rest, and start over.
From Wikipedia: "HIIT is a form of cardio which is beneficial to burning fat in a short and intense workout. Usual HIIT sessions may vary from 9–20 minutes. The original protocol set a 2:1 ratio for work to recovery periods. For example, a runner would alternate 15-20 seconds of hard sprinting with 10 seconds of jogging or walking."
I love this because if you're in a time crunch you can burn a lot of calories faster. Sometimes I don't feel like walking for an hour only to burn like 2oo calories. So tonight I burned 300 calories in 35 minutes which is really good for me because it takes me well over an hour to burn that many usually. Instead of sprinting for a certain amount of time because it's sooo annoying since time seems to pass so slowly when you're running, I just made it my goal to run till I burnt 10 calories then walk and burn 10 calories. So everytime I burnt 10 calories I would switch to either running or walking. It was cool because it went by faster and you are more motivated, especially if you want to burn a certain amount of calories in your session. I'm going to definitely continue doing this.

Place pan into freezer, uncovered, and scrape with fork every 20-30 mins for approximately 2-3hrs or until consistency is similar to shaved ice.
